Summer/August Formal ASB Meeting
Position Assessment: During the summer, the Senior Class officers met at April's house to go over the senior class merch. Though izadesign was incredibly painful, we found our designs for our shirt/crew neck and our hoodie. We finalized our merch a week before core camp, made our leadership jeans and we were off.
I got access to the @rhsco23 account and started posting on there. I made 2 posts during the summer, One about taking Senior Portraits, and the other was about Diploma Forms. I made over the account, making it professional, adding new highlights, changing the bio, and updating the LinkTree.
While at core, we started on Registration and Homecoming. We showed Morty all of our designs and they were successful. We had picked our two themes for homecoming. HayDay or "9 to 5," Dolly Parton. I personally wanted "Save a horse, Ride a cowboy" but it was sadly denied. No matter what we knew we wanted a country theme.
When we got home we had a meeting with Morty about the co'22 senior gift. This year's senior class officers are in charge of containment of last year's senior gift. Since then we have looked at different types of containers to use for the signs.
At registration, I made 7 more posts. 3 about senior merch. 2 about Senior Sunrise; buying old sophomore shirts to tie-dye for sunrise. The last 2 were informational for Pow-Wow. I worked the shirt table writing receipts and selling old shirts. We sold more than half of our old shirts. We have like 10 left to sell, we kind of slayed. The Minion Squad tie-dyed all of the senior shirts. I collaborated with the booster club in order to promote senior parking spots. I learned how to use InstaReels. They kind of blow. I did Link Crew and Leadership training days where I assisted with decorations.
For Senior Sunrise, the senior class officers did a Savemart run to buy juices and doughnuts for sunrise. We crazily underestimated and more than half of our class showed up. That was a super slay.
When school started, we started on Club Rush. For the rally, I posted a story, asking for participants for the rally. We has Chloe Price and AJ Sidhu to represent blue and we had Faith Fauicer and Manny Cortez to represent FFA. I also posted telling all of the seniors to wear black for the Senior Stampede. I went to the thrift store and bought sunglasses for a reel that I was making about Club Rush. It’s still in the works. In terms of Merch sales there was a little slip with the money, but we realized we didn't account for the Senior Sunrise merch. The dance was a success. I helped decorate and clean up. We did so good. I did Link Crew for Back to School night.
In terms of Spirit, I have been working with Elias Ramirez to train him with Spirit Count. He has been doing a really good job. He reminds me of me. I filled out a P.O. of washi tape and chalk markers for the spirit board. Emily and I have been working on it and it should be ready to present by Friday. I have been making the posts for the @asbofriponhighshool account and filling in when need be.
Now we have been focusing on Homecoming. We bought new items for our spirit box and we have a trailer for homecoming. We have been talking about dress up days with the seniors.
Standing Committee: I am currently, loosely apart of the Spirit Committee. I am in charge of positing the percentages and maintaining the spirit board. I am also apart of the Senior Signs in the front of the school. This month we put up the Welcome Back signs and the Club Rush signs.
Special Committee: I was part of the decoration committee for the Black Light Rally, and all that basically was setting up the lights and putting black paper on the windows looking into the foyer.
Mentorship Evaluation: I love Gabby. She has been so kind to me since school started. We never really got to know each other, but we have been able to get along since we started to sit next to each other. I have seen her out and about all of the time because we live in the same neighborhood. She has been my girl this year, I am excited to see where our relation ship will go this year.
Concerns: As a personal concern, I feel like I have not had my posts ready for Morty on Fridays. I have been lagging on those, so I think I would do better if I had them planned ahead of time.
Positive Comment: I would like to dedicate my Positive Comment to Elias Ramirez. He has been my Spirit Count trainee. He has been doing a very good job with Spirit so far. He is very personable person who really loves spirit. As it being his first year in leadership, he has found a comfortable place in his class and position. I love his energy and I think he will be an excellent candy boy.
Change: Communication between the class and between contributing members could be improved. After the dance was a bit of a mess, I feel like we could have done a better job with clean up if we had a list to go off of to make clean up, and other activities go more smoothly.
My Impact: I encouraged a group of freshman to go to the dances and go to the games. I have made an effort to continue to talk to my Link Crew kids. I want to make the next few classes be excited for spirit again. There has been a very obvious decrease in participation, but if I can individually reach out, I hope I can make a change.

September/October Formal ASB Meeting
Position Assessment:
We made a google form asking for HOCO participation from the seniors, and the weekend of the lemonade stand was when I finalized pairs for the dance, since I couldn’t do much else away from home. We planned for 8 practices and had 7, but one of them was on the football field, which was such a good idea. We ended up having a 13 hour work day at April house that was so cray cray. I went to science camp the begining of the week before homecoming but April was able to post for me while I was gone. Praise April. I got home that night and went to Aprils to work on the float.
The Night Rally was a little bit cray cray. We had a lot of spirit items for our class to use, and a clearly marked area with those large tablecloths. We had the most spirit and were were the kindest. Most defiantly deserved first place.
Clean up was as expected, but I’m so glad we didn’t use confetti cannons. Streamer cannons are so much easier to wind up and clean. Lemonade stands were such a silly day. Setting it up was pretty painless, and the transportation was just a little worrisome. We spent multiple days painting it, because we changed our mind after the first color. It went from white to striped blue to brown, but I think it looked good in the end. Passing out items went way smoother than I thought it would, and we ran out very quickly. I think people were excited to take pictures with the stand because it was going on the class Instagram, and I love that we’re posting more people. I think it makes the page more engaging and student-centered.
The float was the second biggest worry after the dance. There was a good amount we had to wait to do, especially since some decorations were going to be pulled from other competitions earlier in the week. We finished everything the night before, and I was pretty proud. However, I was not proud of how it looked in the daylight. Blowing up balloons was the highest priority right before the parade, because all of them had basically popped overnight and during the day. It was a group effort, and I’m so thankful to everyone who helped, especially Jaydin helping while she was already in her dress. The parade went well, and I think it was a great idea to pass out the horses to get rid of them. The kids loved it, and I loved not having to worry about keeping those intact for some random future use. Overall, I really would say that Homecoming was a success. We didn’t do horribly in any competitions and we didn’t bite each others’ heads off! Our next focus before Winterfest is the boxes we need to store the yard signs. We’re taking a Home Depot trip soon to look at them in person, because our online search has turned out inconclusive.
Standing Committee: Since school started the Senior Class Hotties have put down signs in front of the school. Senior officers had to do signs was for Homecoming, which was six days in total. ASB put them up for 2 days when we did the window and the lemonade stand. I think this should count, Spirit Count. I did spirit count almost every single spirit day minus one when it was done during third. I also helped set up for the JV Homecoming game.
Special Committee: The Senior Class Hotties gave special committees to the rest of the senior class. I obviously worked on everything but I was specifically in charge of the Window Decoration. The window looked killer, we deserved to win first place with the Sophomores. I was supposed to be apart of the chain gang, but my name wasn't on the list for chain gang.
Mentorship Evaluation: I have been talking to Gabby in class, we were both rookies last year so we are definitely going through the motions together. The more I talk to her the more I am getting to know her and see how funny she is. She as been open to me, but I have noticed that her comfort person in class is Alizeh. I think they have become the new "April and Gracie" for the class of 24. I am really happy we are able to start talking and connecting. She is so silly, funny and smart. Truly my gal.
Concerns: The biggest concern is the bonding between classes. I feel like the Hotties and I have grown really close but the whole senior class could grow stronger together. I for real think we should have a team bonding day in or out of class to grow together stronger as a class. I have been inspired by the sophomores.
Positive Comment: My positive comment goes to the Sophomore class. They for lack of a better term, SLAYED Homecoming. They did so much to assist the other classes and I feel like they are displaying the behavior that ASB had before Covid. I only saw the Sophomores grow their friendships and that is something I admire greatly. Claire did amazing.
Change: I think that the candy room should get locked because sometimes I can't contain myself.
My Impact: I am trying to keep a positive and silly energy in class, if that is singing for someone on their birthday or telling the most outrageous stories ever.

Adapted Formal ASB Meeting
Position Assessment:
Winterfest and Warm and Fuzzy has been the focus of the past couple of weeks. For Warm and Fuzzy, us seniors decided to theme our tree “Santa’s Seniors” and we ordered some acrylic ornaments for seniors to decorate, in an effort to personalize our tree and give our seniors more buy-in. Our facility request has been approved, so after we come back from Thanksgiving break, all seniors can stop by our table and sign their names on their ornaments. They’ll also be making paper snowflakes that we plan to incorporate into our pillar decorating. All of our designs for Winterfest are sketched and our PO has been put in, we’re just waiting for it to be returned for us to order the materials. April is taking everything to her house.
In the midst of this all, the senior officers also met with Morty to come up with the senior motto. All of the creative writing was done by Morty, but the officers and I brainstormed words that can describe our class, like bold, spirited, etc. Our second order of merch has also been delivered, and all of that was distributed out, leaving only a handful of leftover items. We still need to decide what we’ll do with these items, but whatever happens will have to occur after Thanksgiving break.
Standing Committee: We finished selling shirts. We put up signs and took them down during Dude. Be Nice. I was a stand in spirit commissioner for Dude. Be Nice.
Special Committee: I have done My Intent. I was a person speaking in the video and I also helped collect people for the video. We finish filming before break. I am working on Friday at the Elementary Schools for community service. The seniors and I made the superlatives for the Senior Rally. I worked with Spencer, Jaydin and Gabby for CASL.
Concerns: I am concerned about my organization. I think I will be more productive when I fix my situations.
Positive Comment: My positive comment goes to the Junior Class Officers. I appreciate how well they did with Dude. Be Nice. I really like how they are stepping up from Homecoming. As a member of RHS I appreciate what the Juniors are doing. As a member of the Senior Class I’m watching my back.
Change: I personally need to change my behavior in class. I need to be more attentive.
My Impact: I have been publicizing the heck out of our senior class. I had a slump in September but I'm back, baby. New story or post EVERY SINGLE DAY.

January Formal ASB Meeting
Position Assessment: Winterfest. I was grounded for the rest of eternity, but that didnt stop me from going to April's house to help out with Winterfest.
Standing Committee: Signs. The senior class officers are in charge of putting up the signs. For this month, we put up and took down the Winterfest signs. I took down more than I put up and I may have dropped an I while transporting. Spirit Count. I don't know if this stands, but I have helped with the spirit count on most days. I have also made the posts for all of the days. I am getting faster at them.
Special Committee: Jenna put the publicity officers and Callie in charge of the Valentine's hearts. Which means me. With the help of Gracie James, the seniors are kind of killing out. When we finish we need to group “pound it.” I also went to Weston to recruit 8th graders for Leadership. That became kind of a catastrophe, but I think the 8th graders were into it. At least I hope they were.
Mentorship Evaluation: My new mentor is Gia. I am totally obsessed with her. I have known her since the beginning of last year and I have loved having her in my life. This past month we went to Isabel’s to go get boba. While we were out we talked about girl things *hehe* like boooys. I am glad to spend the second semester with my gal Gia.
Concerns: A personal thing I need to change is to be ungrounded. I also need to join the choir. Hopefully I wont fall off when we start the musical.
Positive Comment: I would like to give my positive comment to Makenzie Loechler. I have spent more time around her recently; Morning Announcements and recruitment. In that I have seen that she is hardworking and committed to all of the work that she does. W ASB prez.
Change: I would change the interclass communication. I love connecting with the underclassmen and I would love to see the class bond. I want to more at Encore.
My Impact: The Musical. THE GOSH DARN MUSICAL. I have completely devoted my life to RHS’s Grease The Musical. You could even say I’m hopelessly divided. Everyone I know is fed up with me talking about the musical but bro, I NEED this. We had one boy show up to auditions. Praise James, but this musical will not happen if we don't get more boys. So, I took it upon myself to network like crazy. We had more people show up to the Drama Club meeting. More is all I need. We have Callbacks and an Open Call on Wednesday. Let’s hope for the best.

The Challenge
- I have been placed on the “gifts to teachers” committee. I was partnered with Kylee Brown and our slide was to update the process of “gifts to teachers” as well as give general information on what our ideas are.
- We have to write letters to teachers with this certain paper Makenzie is giving the whole class. My teachers are my two favs, Colonel and Felver. Praises, Letters, A-Z, Portfolios, and Gallery of the Arts work were also done this week. Pretty studious. I also worked under Spencer and Emme with the “gifts to teachers.” Kylee made a checklist of our ideas and progress so we can have an outline of what we are going to say when we present in front of the class.
- I am in charge of communicating with the class on our progress with “gift to teachers” alongside Kylee Brown.
- Pros: Everyone was productive this week, including me. We were working less as a clique and more as a team.
- Cons: A con was dealing with people outside of the program because we were a UNIT this week.
- In the formal presentation, I will be speaking on the “gifts to teachers” with Kylee. We are helping Spencer and Emme as we work on this. We are all making a plan and trying to execute it organized and on time. I will be sharing what it is, how we are doing it, what we have done, and what we need to finish in order to have this complete.
- I love the challenge. Even though it is a lot of work I think this is a great way to showcase all we have been working on this year. I also think it is a great way of team bonding because we are working together for a common goal.
- Personally, I feel way more in control this year than I did the previous year. I think the challenge will be a success. The work that was done this week was exceptional.
- I think they should be held accountable separately because the challenge does affect the class as a whole.
- I love how we can all come together for the challenge. I wasn't a distraction to anyone this week because there was so much to get done, but it wasn't busy work, it was fun busy work.

April & May Formal ASB Meeting
Position Assessment: In April and May, the senior class officers got down to doing the end of the year fixens; Sober Grad, Baccalaureate, Disney Trip, Leadership Banquet, and Graduation. We had a meeting with Sylvia Ochoa about the baccalaureate and we told her about our finalized speakers and what to expect that night. The Disney trip has been going surprisingly well. We talked to Mr. Yonan, the most precious man, about all things Disney trip. We got bus sign ups, have plans on going to Costco, and we have started painting mini figures from a game called Warhammer with Mr. Yonan. He is my best friend. We got gifts for our advisors. We picked out our top 3 songs for graduation to have the class vote. I cared A LOT about this. My personal pic was "In My Life" - The Beatles, but I'm not mad at the final contender, "I Lived" - One Republic. We also picked out our name readers, again, this was a big deal to me. Our not-ready-for-prime-time-players are Burton, Francis, Felver, and Brown. They are all my faves. I also got the chance to present at the Modesto CADA conference which I was over the moon about. I love Area A CADA stuff. As for now, I am anticipating the rest of the activities we have for the year and spending all of my nights reflecting on my golden years. J.K. I fall asleep listening to The Handmaid Tale audiobook.
Standing Committee: Signs. The senior class officers are in charge of putting up the signs. For this month, we put up and took down the SENIOR SZN signs for senior week. Spirit Count. I don't know if this stands, but I have helped with the spirit count on most days. I have also made the posts for all of the days. The spirit is getting worse.
Special Committee: I was put on Spencer's team for the challenge. We wrote letters to teachers and rolled them up all pretty and put flowers in them. I will also be helping with College Reveal next week. I am a master at the spotlight so I will be assisting with that.
Mentorship Evaluation: Gia being my mentor has been amazing. She is so intelligent and goofy. I love her go with the flow attitude when we are doing stuff in class. Some of my favorite days are days where we can just spend time talking about whatever when there is downtime in class. She is very dilligent and is able to do anything she sets her mind on. She is a very good resource when I am looking for help on anything. She had a beautiful professional portfolio that was a good outline that I could base mine off of. I have really enjoyed our time as mentors, but it also makes me sad to graduate because I will miss her and all of the other sophomores I met as freshmen walking onto the program last year.
Concerns: As a personal concern, the senioritis is killing me softly with his song. I need to finish the year strong but my work is piling up and that is no bueno.
Positive Comment: I would like to dedicate my Positive Comment to the Senior Class Officers. From school work to friendships, they have been 3 of the best people I could have ever worked with. They are all so dedicated and committed in all that they do and I couldn't have asked for a better team. Even though our journey started with 3 officers and a floating Emily, I'm glad we got to where we ended. This was my first ever girl group and I was able to do so many firsts with them. First family dinner, first sleepover, first funky holiday, and first Sims family game play. I have been able to find comfort and care with my officers. The way that they all have such girlboss energy is something that I admire about them. Looking past our differences (I like Kanye, they like Taylor) we were able to work together like sistas. Though the end is rapidly approaching, I am happy to know the time we have spent together and the memories we have made will last a lifetime. Thank you to my Senior Class Hotties.
Change: I think having a designated journal time instead of a visiting hour would encourage people to do their journals. Like for that week you were checking people, that was effective.
My Impact: My biggest impact as a leader the past few months was definitely speaking to middle schoolers at the CADA conference. With Mak's curriculum, Dillan and I hardcore killed presenting. Our topic was "Being the Best Version of You." We made perfect time, the kids were enjoying our message and Dillan and I were able to bounce off of each other so well when we slipped up. I really hope the kids took what we were talking about and applied it to their lives.
