August ASB Formal Report
Position Assessment: As a spirit commissioner, I have been working with the Pride Tribe in selling Pride Tribe T-shirts, during Pow Wow and a club rush. I have also collected information on spirit counts for club rush spirit week, red and white spirit days, and Fanny Pack Friday. On these days I pass out candy to students who showed school spirit. I’ve also contributed to school-wide events, I have helped publicize club rush week and helped spread information about spirit days and the dance.
Standing Committee: The spirit commissioners consist of me, Lucia Machado Perez, Allie Camera, and Peyton Miller-Kay. Our team and Abby Thompson go out every spirit day during the fourth period to give candy to every student that is wearing school spirit. Then we add all of the votes and average I with the total student body. We do promotions on social media platforms to promote spirit days and other activities and give the results back to the student body.
Special Committee: I am currently not a part of any special committees.
Member Evaluation: This is my first year in the Leadership Program. My mentor for this year is Jaydin Kroutil. Jaydin is a positive, generous, and beaming person. She is in her third year of leadership and she seems very secure in her position. She has been incredibly helpful and I know that I can go to her when I need assistance with anything having to do with this program. She helped me create my website, taught me how to stay on track.
Concerns: The main concern that I have is a lack of participation within the student body. There have been many people that have dressed up but the outreach is not getting to people, but that is the only complaint.
Positive Comment: I want to dedicate my positive comment to Abby Thompson. She really stepped it up when one of our members was gone due to Covid. She took over Lucia’s counting route when she was gone. Even though It wasn't her job she still did it with no complaints.
One change: I feel like the one thing I would change would be to publise spirit days. We use Instagram and we tell people over the announcements but I feel like we could be move verbally open with our encouragements.
Impact: I helped this one girl, who was a Freshman break out and start participating in school activities, and with this mojo, I feel like I can start helping so many other people on campus with things that they would also need encouragement on.

September/October ASB Report
Position Assessment: As a spirit commissioner, I have collected information on spirit counts for homecoming spirit week and red and white spirit days. On these days I pass out candy to students who showed school spirit. I’ve also contributed to school-wide events, I have helped publicize homecoming and helped spread information about spirit days and the dance.
Standing Committee: The spirit commissioners consist of me, Lucia Machado Perez, Allie Camera, and Peyton Miller-Kay. Our team go out every spirit day and give candy to every student that is wearing school spirit. Then we add all of the votes and average I with the total student body.
Special Committee: Working with the Juniors on the Homecoming float and skit.
Member Evaluation: My partner, Jaydin, and I weren't able to hang out because of our constant butting schedules. But we are always talking and spending time during leadership and our other classes. I am still pretty busy but we are working on meeting up later this month.
Concerns: My main concern is that I have had limited time and not a lot of resources this month. Things have been wild but I am staying above water. Later this month things will definitely calm down and I can make my projects my main focus.
Positive Comment: I would like to dedicate my Positive Comment to Gabby Delgado. She let us use her house and she was an all star with homecoming. She had a positive spirit all week long and put so much effort into our float and our sketch. I truly appreciate her. She has been an all star.
One change: One thing I would change is my class route. I spend a lot all class period going to every corner of the school. The other spirit commissioners offered to switch classes but we haven't sat down and done it yet.
Impact: I have provided support for the junior class with my props, costumes, and time. When Abby sprained her ankle or everybody left Gabby's house I was still there doing the little things to make the float look great. I kept the spirits high even when I was on the tears.

November/December ASB Report
Position Assessment: In the months of November and December, the spirit commissioners and I have done spirit count for the Friday spirit days, College Days, DudeBeNice, and we are currently continuing to do spirit count for “Warm and Fuzzy” week. We have helped put posters up around the school and make social media posts, publicizing the spirit weeks. Recently we have been working with Ms. Pendleton and the Pride Tribe to start planning themes for the upcoming boy’s basketball season. We have made Instagram posts that we are going to push out once we get closer to the games. We are planning on decorating the foyer for some of the games.
Standing Committee: The spirit commissioners and I give out candy on spirit days to the students and advisors who show school spirit.
Special Committee: I helped the VP’s in collecting coins for the Blanket Drive. The spirit commissioners and I are working on themed basketball games.
Mentorship Evaluation: Jaydin and I have started to connect. We have other classes that we have started to connect in. Whilst decorating the doors we had so much fun jamming out to Taylor Swift and Christmas music. She helped me build my cover letter and resume when I was out doing my candy counts. I really appreciate Jaydin.
Concerns: My biggest concern in Leadership at the moment is the attitude change in the classroom. Especially during the door decoration, the spirits were low. Yes, we were there for a long time, but it was supposed to be a fun activity to bond us together. I had a lot of fun with my group and I appreciated the drive that we had to get it done in a timely manner whilst making them look still pretty.
Positive Comment: I would like to give my positive comment to sophomore class. They have had a tireless month working on Winter Formal and and Warm and Fuzzy. They did amazing and I am so proud of all they accomplished. They tried to show that they werent under pressure and they succeeded.
One Change: I would like to change the environment of the class. I haven’t bonded with a lot of the people that aren’t in my class or position. I do make the effort to sit by the Freshmen during our workdays and communicate with them but I want to have more team bonding activities.
My Impact: I have connected with the Freshmen almost every chance I’ve gotten. It is all our first year in the family of Leadership and it is something that connects us. Leadership is family and family is everything. I know that some of the Freshmen are still scared with coming into high school, I know I was, so communication with the younger class is something that I have neev focusing on.

January ASB Report
Position Assessment: During the month of January the spirit commissioners and I have continued with weekly spirit counts along with counts for Winterfest. Even though we ran out of candy, there were a lot of people involved in our spirit days. We also worked with Mrs. Pendleton to come up with themes for the boys’ basketball games, publicizing them to our student body, and decorating the gym/foyer. We are also planning on working with the Pride Tribe to sell the rest of the T-shirts that we have and maybe start designing a new shirt for the next school year.
Standing Committee: Every Friday and spirit day, the spirit commissioners and I go to the classrooms on campus and give candy to those who are wearing school spirit.
Special Committee: I am not a part of a special committee at this time.
Mentorship Evaluation: Jaydin and I have become good friends over the year. We are talking in Leadership and out of Leadership, especially in our other classes. She is continuing to help me with anything I ask her to. I hope we can continue to grow our connection for the rest of the year and the years to come.
Concerns: One concern that I have is the lack of communication. Especially with the Basketball themes, our communication with Rangel was non-existent and we need to work on our communication for the future.
Positive Comment: I dedicate my positive comment to Bryan Ochoa. He has been so supportive to not only me but everyone else. When I started crying during my speech, Byran came up to me at the end and hugged me. I also have had such a great time sitting next to him in class these past weeks. He is always a beam of positive energy and encouragement and I am so glad to have someone like Bryan in my life.
One Change: One thing that I would like to change is the publication of College day. That seems to be the spirit day that goes the most missed and now that we’re getting closer to college season I want it to be more encouraging, especially to the seniors.
My Impact: I have helped encourage other students to Leadership for the next school year. I have also promoted other clubs and activities for students to do.

February/March ASB Report
Position Assessment: During the year the spirit commissioners and I have sold the pride tribe shirts that are in the student store during, Club Rush, Sports Night, PowWow, and the End of the Year sale. We are also having a t-shirt design for next year in progress. So far we have agreed that the t-shirt will be red tie dyed and are now trying to find where we can get the shirt for the best price. The spirit commissioners and I have also done count spirit each Friday and for miscellaneous spirit days such as college day throughout the whole year.
Standing Committee: Every Friday and spirit day, the spirit commissioners and I go to the classrooms on campus and give candy to those who are wearing school spirit.
Special Committee: I am apart of the teacher appreciation committee for The Challenge.
Mentorship Evaluation: Jaydin has been an incredible help this past year. She helped me create my mock interview portfolio and has told me about other things that are upcoming in class that I haven't heard about yet. Outside of Leadership we have spent time together in other classes and at events like the Fashion Show. We both cleaned up, made TikTok, and then she drove me home.
Concerns: My main concern are my bubbles. I have had a lot of bubbles in class and out of class and I feel like it is affecting my productivity in class.
Positive Comment: I dedicate my positive comment to James Wilkins. He has been my favorite person in Leadership recently. He is really dedicated to his work and is good company in class. He is selfless and is always giving back to our school and his community. He is always contributing to his class and tries to make the classroom a better environment for his peers.
One Change: One thing I would want to change is the student participation at the boys volleyball games. I have gone to every home game this season and there are only a handful of people going to the games. I have told my friends and other people on campus to go and there have been more at the recent games but there isn't enough spirit and participation as there is at the other sporting events.
My Impact: I have been as positive as I can be these last few months. I have been really busy with Leadership and life but one thing I always try to be is positive.

Standing Committee: For the year, every Friday and spirit day, the spirit commissioners and I go to the classrooms on campus and give candy to those who are wearing school spirit.
Special Committee: I was apart of the teacher appreciation committee for The Challenge.
Mentorship Evaluation: Jaydin has been such a big help these past few months. She helped me create my website portfolio and mock interview portfolio and has told me about what is is like to be a class officer for when I am senior publicity next year. I have really appreciated all of the time that she has spent helping me become a better leader.
Concerns: My biggest concerns with the end of the year is the end of the year. I feel like the year has just started. To tie it all back to the theme of my website, "We wasted so many days," Elio Perliman. I feel like there isn't enough time left at all.
Positive Comment: My positive comment is going to be about Brianna Alvarez. She has helped me out so much this year with so many different things. She has taught me how to be better to myself and she has been there at my highest and lowest points. I appreciate her for being around this year and I am excited to see where she progresses.
One Change: One thing that I would change for next year is shirt selling. I think that Spirit needs to be more proactive when selling shirts. Next year there needs to be a set out schedule for shirt selling so there is no confusion and better publicity for the shirts.
My Impact: My impact for this year has been spirit. I have tried to go above and beyond with showing school spirit. I have loved this years spirit days.
